Opening in India, 2027

Care for every season of her life.

Swara is a women’s wellbeing studio where yoga, Ayurveda and licensed psychological care meet under one calm roof, from her first exam stress to her seventies. In person, on video and on the app, and always private.

Why Swara

She carries a lot, and mostly in silence.

Hormones, exams, fertility, a newborn, a career, ageing parents. Each season brings its own strain, and the help that exists comes in disconnected pieces.

~22%

of Indian mothers experience postpartum depression

10–14%

of Indians are affected by infertility

74%

of college-educated urban women have taken a career break

0.75

psychiatrists per lakh people, against the WHO benchmark of 3

Every season

One trusted place, from girlhood to later life.

Choose a season to see how Swara walks with her through it.

What she sees at the door

SwaraWomen’s Wellbeing Studioस्वर

No “mental health” on the sign. The same entrance for prenatal yoga, an Ayurvedic consultation or a therapy session, so nobody knows why she came.

Privacy by design

Nobody needs to know why she came.

One door

Studios mix yoga, body care and counselling rooms, so walking in says nothing about the reason.

Quiet billing

Bills and messages read “Swara Wellbeing”, never a diagnosis.

A discreet app

A neutral icon, a passcode lock and notifications that never reveal what they are about.

Her choice of room

In the studio, on video or at home, whichever feels safest to her.

Backed by law

The Mental Healthcare Act 2017 protects her confidentiality, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 governs her data. Records stay in India and are shared only with her consent.

The care team

Specialists first, with more hands when she needs them.

India has too few psychiatrists and psychologists. Swara builds a stepped team so every woman reaches the right person quickly, and nobody works beyond their training.

Clinical core

Psychiatrists and RCI-registered psychologists

Lead assessment, therapy and medication, and supervise everyone else.

When the wait is long

Trained doctors, nurses and social workers

Upskilled through NIMHANS Digital Academy and similar courses, working under specialist supervision.

Body and first contact

Yoga, Ayurveda, nutrition and wellbeing guides

Certified practitioners who welcome her in. They complement treatment and never replace it.

Severe illness and crises always see a psychiatristGynaecologist and IVF clinic partnersEvery risk flag reaches a person, day or night

The Swara app

A gentle check-in, in her own language.

Screening that routes her well

Validated questionnaires, such as the Edinburgh scale for new mothers, send her to the right person at the right level of care.

A human is always there

AI helps with screening, reminders and clinical notes. It never acts as her therapist, and girls under 18 never chat with AI.

Progress she can see

Her scores are tracked over time, so she and her clinician can see what is working.

Example screen

Good morning, Divya.

Over the past week, how often have you been able to laugh and see the funny side of things?

Week 6 after birth · check-in 3 of 4

Sakhi circles

She is not the only one.

Small, guided peer groups for women in the same season. A trained facilitator, a cup of chai and a room full of “me too”.

Mothers and daughters

Puberty, periods and exam stress, talked through together.

Trying to conceive

For women in IVF and fertility treatment, and after a loss.

New mothers

The first year after birth, with sleep, feeding and feelings.

Midlife and caregivers

Menopause, work and caring for ageing parents.

Founding circle

Help us shape the first Swara studio.

Swara is in development. We are looking for women, gynaecologists, IVF and maternity clinics, schools and clinicians who want to help design it, and for the first families to try it.
